UAE weather update: Rain hits scattered parts; NCM issues alert

Moderate to heavy rainfall pelted across select parts of Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai and Sharjah emirates, while light showers hit parts of Ajman.

Light rain was also observed over scattered parts of the Al Ain emirate.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), has meanwhile, issued an alert, urging people to exercise precaution in case of heavy showers over Eastern areas, and advised to stay away from areas of flash floods and accumulated rain.

Additionally, light to moderate winds, freshening at times, are anticipated to cause blowing dust during the day.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 13.7 °C in Jabal Jais at 3am local time today.

Temperatures will hover between 19-33°C across the coastal areas and islands, between 13-35°C among the internal areas, and between 12-31°C in the mountains.
