However, on October 15, the company unveiled the all-new edition of one of its most popular models – the GA8 sedan. It can reach a top speed of 210kph and can accelerate from 0-100kph in 7.8 seconds The GA8 has had many significant changes made to its exterior and interior as well as on its engineering front, compared to the model it is now replacing. At a length of over 5 metres and a wheelbase of 2.9 metres, it boasts of significant road presence. You’ll notice that the headlights have been completely changed and now feature slim LED units inside of it. The extra real estate at the front of the car is now dominated by a larger grille. There are also options for new 17-inch as well as 18-inch wheels. There is a large air intake up front as well, and crisp lines along its side that direct attention towards the rear of the car whose design has also been tweaked. The turbocharged 2-litre engine reportedly produces 248hp of power and 390Nm of torque Inside, you’ll find a revamped interior space. The front dashboard has been decluttered and several of those analogue controls are now accessible via a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. The interiors are smartly dressed in two-tone leather tones with an on-point wood trim too. To soundtrack your drive, there’s a 13-speaker audio system too. An electronic panoramic sunroof allows the interiors to be flooded with sunlight when required, while a power curtain at the rear window prevents passengers in the rear seat from being exposed to direct sunlight. GAC says that the car is fitted with G-Health seats which uses both Ultrasuede superior suede and high-grade leather, with the front row seats being ventilated. It also features a CN95 air conditioning filter and plasma air purifier system to filter and purify the air being circulated inside the cabin. Aesthetics aside, GAC has amped up the engine performance on the new GA8 too. It now features a 390T engine boosts strength for setters.
