Covid-19: UAE reports 1,181 infections, 1,168 recoveries

The UAE government stated on Friday that it had detected 1,181 new coronavirus cases over the preceding 24 hours, a record daily increase in the number of cases detected in the country.

The cases were identified following 107,187 Covid-19 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The new cases were among individuals belonging to various nationalities, are their condition is reported to be stable.

The total number of infections recorded in the UAE since the start of the outbreak has risen to 96,529.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention added that 1,168 individuals had also fully recovered over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries up to 86,071.

The ministry said that 3 new deaths due to Covid-19 complications were reported too.

The overall number of fatalities as a consequence of the virus in the UAE now stands at 424.
