Home Industry Technology Fortinet appoints new regional head for channel, to be based in Dubai Shane Grennan returns to Fortinet after a spell at Cylance by David Ndichu September 22, 2020 Cybersecurity vendor Fortinet has appointed Shane Grennan as head of its channel operations in the Middle East. Grennan will report to Alain Penel, the regional vice president for the Middle East. In his role as regional channel director for enterprise and alliance partners, Grennan will direct and oversee the more than 3000 Fortinet partners and alliance community in the region, the company said. Grennan returns to Fortinet from Cylance where he was the immediate regional director for the UK, Ireland & Emerging (SS Africa, Israel, CEE). Grennan was previously regional sales director for the UK and Ireland at Fortinet. Conversely, the new working environment has paved the way for a new wave of advanced cybersecurity threats.
