Home Covid-19 UAE reports 931 new Covid cases, 517 recoveries No new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours by Aarti Nagraj September 11, 2020 The UAE reported 931 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday, taking the total number of cases in the country to 77,842. The new cases were detected after 75,177 additional Covid-19 tests, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and are receiving the necessary care, MoHAP said. It also announced that an additional 517 individuals had fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 68,462. According to the ministry, no new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. The UAE reported 930 new cases on Thursday, marking the highest number of daily cases recorded in nearly four months. The figures also mark an almost five-fold increase from the numbers a month ago. Officials said lack of commitment of malls and shops to the precautionary measures contributed to the recent increase in the number of cases.
