GCC Covid-19 update: UAE reports 883 cases; 349 infections registered in Oman

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has registered 883 new Covid-19 cases, 416 recoveries and two deaths in the last 24 hours. The figure marks the highest number of new daily infections since May 27, when 883 cases were reported.

The new cases were detected as a result of 85,917 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The infection count has risen to 75,981, while the total recoveries tally 67,359.

The death toll stands at 393.

Oman
The Ministry of Health reported 349 new infections and nine deaths on September 9, Times of Oman reported.

The total cases in the country have now reached 87,939, including 83,115 recoveries and 751 deaths.

Bahrain
Out of 11,535 Covid-19 tests carried out on September 8, 702 new cases have been detected.
