GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 735 cases; 667 infections confirmed in Kuwait

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention reported 735 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, detected as a result of 79,623 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

Simultaneously, 538 recoveries were also recorded, with the total recoveries scaling to 62,029.

The infection count has risen to 71,540.

With three additional fatalities, the death toll stands at 387.

Bahrain
As of September 1, Bahrain had a total of 2,855 active Covid-19 cases, of which 37 were reported to be critical.

A total of 190 people have succumbed to the virus since the outbreak.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health reported 667 new Covid-19 infections and one death in the last 24 hours.

The death toll stands at 535.
