Home Covid-19 UAE reports 781 additional Covid-19 cases following 35,000 new tests The death toll from the coronavirus has reached 245 in the UAE by Aarti Nagraj May 24, 2020 The UAE reported 781 additional Covid-19 cases on Sunday, May 24, after it conducted 35,000 new tests across the country, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced. The total number of cases reported so far in the country now stands at 29,485. The MoHAP is increasing the scope of testing in the country with the aim of early detection of cases and isolating those who come into contact with positive cases. The new cases, who belong to different nationalities, are all stable cases and receiving the necessary health care, the ministry said. It also announced the death of one additional Covid-19 patient, taking the number of those who have succumbed to the virus to 245. The ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for all the patients. It also called on the public to co-operate with health authorities and adhere to social distancing measures.
