Home Covid-19 UAE announces 812 new Covid-19 cases, total death toll rises to 244 The total number of coronavirus infections reported in the country now stands at 28,704 by Aarti Nagraj May 24, 2020 The UAE reported 812 new Covid-19 cases in the country late on Saturday, taking the total number of reported infections to 28,704, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced. The new cases include people from different nationalities, all of whom are in a stable condition and receiving the necessary care, the ministry said. They were identified after over 39,000 additional coronavirus tests were conducted in the country, in line with MoHAP’s plans to intensify virus screening and contain its spread. The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all patients. It also called on the public to co-operate with health authorities and comply with all precautionary measures, particularly social distancing.
