COYA Dubai
Peruvian restaurant COYA Dubai has launched its own home delivery service of its gourmet food for the very first time.

This month, it even has a special Ramadan set menu. It comes packaged with dates to break your fast, a choice of one soup (we’d recommend the pumpkin soup), and a total of seven appetizers which makes it perfect for sharing.

Of the appetizers, the standouts include the Picante de Pepino – a cucumber and green apple salad with miso and coriander – and the Hongos Ceviche which is a fixture for any Peruvian restaurant and one which COYA has perfected with its mix of wild mushrooms and enoki.

The options in the mains meanwhile include a chicken, beef, sea bass or a vegetarian dish – our sea bass seasoned with lime hadn’t become saturated with moisture despite being transported in an airtight container from the restaurant.

The single dessert, the Tortell de Nata Maracuya, which comprises of a puff pastry filled with passion fruit cremeux and served with konafah, had its artful presentation – just as you would see it plated in the restaurant – maintained through the entire delivery process.

COYA Dubai: The Ramadan menu is priced at Dhs230 and can be ordered daily until 7.30pm on Deliveroo or by calling COYA directly on (04) 316 9600. COYA’s a la carte menu can be ordered daily from 12.30pm-10.30pm too. COYA Abu Dhabi also has a Ramadan set menu priced at Dhs199 that can be home delivered by calling the restaurant on (02) 306 7000 or through Deliveroo.

The contemporary Greek restaurant, avli by tashas, has also introduced a home delivery service of a few of its most popular offerings that can now be ordered via WhatsApp. There are two options for the set menu which serves two people.

The first is priced at Dhs480 and comprises of four dishes. The starter is grilled pita bread served with tapenade – a paste of olives and sundried tomato tapenade.

The next is a Greek salad, a hearty portion of farm-fresh cherry tomatoes, capers, cucumbers, two large slabs of feta cheese, black and green olives and olive oil (the portion size easily suffices more than two people).

The main dish is a similarly large-portioned Lamb Youvetsi that was still piping hot inside its foil container when it reached us.

Dessert includes seasonal fruits – ours were slices of watermelon.

The second set menu is priced at Dhs280 and swaps the Lamb Youvetsi with a vegetarian Naxos Pasta spaghettini with zucchini, peppers, aubergines and dried olives.

avli by tashas: The set menu with lamb is priced at Dhs480, while the vegetarian option is priced at Dhs280. It can be delivered by contacting the restaurant over WhatsApp on 058 583 3571, with delivery slots between 12-4pm and 7-10pm. Orders need to be placed before 4pm for next day delivery and payment is made on delivery.
