Rainfall expected in parts of UAE, temperatures to stay low

Light rainfall hit select parts of Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah emirates on April 19, while moderate winds causing potential dust storms are anticipated across the country.

“Fair to partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times and some light rain might fall over the Islands and some coastal and western areas. Moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea,” National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said in a statement.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 15.3°C in Raknah at 4.15am today.

Temperatures will vary between 23-38°C in the coastal areas, between 21-40°C in the internal areas and 14-25°C in the mountains.

Overcast conditions are expected to cascade onto the rest of the week, with the possibility of some rainfall and winds causing dust storms. Fog and mist formation are anticipated for Thursday, April 23.
