The UAE Consulate in Los Angeles has issued an alert to Emiratis in the wake of the recent California blaze.

The UAE mission in America has warned its citizens to stay safe especially those in Brentwood, Bel Air and Pacific Palisades.

On its Twitter account, the Consulate said, “The Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Los Angeles has advised UAE nationals located near the fire zones of Brentwood, Bel Air and Pacific Palisades to exercise caution and follow the instructions issued by the relevant authorities.”

In emergencies, they can contact the UAE Consulate on +1 3233-631-736.

The travel alert was issued post California’s governor’s call to declare a state-wide emergency on Sunday as close to 180,000 people were asked to evacuate their homes, according to media reports.

The Kincade fire spread to more than 74,000 acres and was 15 per cent contained by Monday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection(CAL FIRE).
