Oman’s year to date budget deficit at around $1.7bn

Oman’s budget deficit amounted to OMR660.6m ($1.72bn) in the first six months of the year, a 53 per cent reduction on an annual basis, the government said on Sunday.

In the first five months of this year the state budget deficit stood at OMR358.4m, a 67 per cent reduction on an annual basis, the Sultanate said last month.
