Inside luxury travel brand Rimowa’s first store in Dubai

In March, German-owned luxury luggage manufacturer Rimowa opened its first store in Dubai. Located in the Fashion Avenue within The Dubai Mall, the 142 square metre store is its second store in the UAE.

Rimowa’s first store in the country opened in Abu Dhabi four years ago. The two UAE stores are its only standalone stores in the Middle East.

The 121-year-old LVMH-brand is now helmed by LVMH scion Alexander Arnault.

The new store in Dubai features its entire luggage collection, including the Rimowa Original, Rimowa Classic, Rimowa Essential and Rimowa Hybrid collections.The luggage in the store is arranged as though it was passing on a conveyor belt.

The store which has a customer lounge, also caters to after-sales and consequently has a dedicated desk for repairs.

A wall inside the store consists of the brand’s own collection of luggage stickers. The store also has a number of accessories like wallets, luggage belts and aluminium carryalls.

Exclusive to the Dubai boutique is the Dubai City Sticker Set. The vinyl stickers by artist Antti Kalevi consists of a cityscape sticker, a landscape sticker, a calligraphy sticker, a wildlife sticker and a unique artwork sticker.

Rimowa has in the past collaborated with several top brands including Off-White, Supreme and Fendi, among others.
