Home GCC UAE UAE holiday dates for 2019 revealed The first public holiday in 2019, after New Year, is expected to fall in April by Karmila Thomas December 20, 2018 With 2019 fast approaching, the expected dates for the UAE’s public holidays have been revealed. The UAE government website lists all the public holidays for 2019, although the actual dates for the Islamic occasions will depend on moon sightings. Next year, Ramadan is anticipated to begin at the start of May, with Eid Al Fitr – the first holiday after New Year – expected to fall in the beginning of April. With Eid Al Adha forecast to fall on a Monday in August, UAE residents could expect a long weekend. A full list of the public holidays with the expected number of days off is seen below. Islamic holidays are subject to change as moon sightings might suggest different dates.
