Home Industry Real Estate Dubai’s Wasl launches master development in Jebel Ali The development is located near the Energy metro station by Robert Anderson September 23, 2018 Dubai developer Wasl Asset Management has announced the launch of the Wasl Gate master project in Jebel Ali. The freehold development, located near the Energy metro station and Ibn Battuta Mall, will span 1.23 million square metres and include 257 townhouses and 6,500 apartments upon completion. Other features include hospitality and leisure amenities, a sports complex, international school, central park and the Festival Plaza mall. The mall, which is being built by the UAE’s Al-Futtaim for the fourth quarter of 2019, will include Dubai’s second Ikea, an ace hardware store, coffee shops, restaurants, shops, family entertainment and a new hypermarket. Wasl said the first two buildings in the development, named The Nook, will go on sale from October 8. “Wasl gate is designed to provide a wide array of offerings for Dubai residents, while striving to develop and expand our real estate portfolio,” said Wasl CEO Hesham Al Qassim. The developer didn’t give a completion date for the overall development but said it was part of its efforts “to support the government’s vision of making Dubai the best residential destination in the world by 2021”. It previously launched its first freehold master development wasl 1 last October. It will feature residential towers surrounded by gardens, podiums, cafes and restaurants and 2,300sqm of retail space near Dubai’s Zabeel Park.
