The changes aim to improve commuting across the Emirate, providing smoother and faster travel. The RTA published details of the new routes on Monday. The 4 new routes include: Route F39: Replacing Route 31, it will run from Etisalat Bus Station to Oud Al Muteena Roundabout and back, every 30 minutes. Route F40: Also replacing Route 31, this route will operate from Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78, with a 30-minute frequency. Route F58: Replacing Route F56, it will run from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City and back, every 30 minutes. Route F59: This route will replace F56, running from Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village and back, with a 30-minute frequency. Other notable changes include: Route 21: This route will be split into two—21A and 21B. Route 21A will run from Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, while Route 21B will cover the opposite direction. Route 61D: It will be merged with Route 66. Route 95: Merged with Route 95A, allowing connections to Route X92. Route 95A will now start from Veneto, Jebel Ali Waterfront, to Parco Hypermarket, covering the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. Route 6: This route will be shortened, now running only from Oud Metha Metro Station to Dubai Healthcare City. Route 99: It will be modified to cover JAFZA One. Route F31: New stops will be added in The Greens. Route F45: It will include new stops in Al Furjan. JAFZA One stop will be removed from Route F54. Route E700: This intercity route will now start from Etisalat Bus Station instead of Union Bus Station to Fujairah. Additionally, the RTA will enhance 35 other bus routes, ensuring timely arrivals and improved service coverage. Passengers are advised to check these updates and plan their journeys accordingly, said the RTA. The Dubai bus network is already substantive. According to a recent note on the RTA website, the Public Transport Agency (PTA) “provides public bus services with a large fleet of 1,518 buses”. “PTA operates an extended bus network of 119 internal lines, including 35 lines linking to metro stations, 12 intercity lines to transport passengers to other emirates, 62 internal lines and 8 fast lines. The network covers 82% of the urban areas in Dubai, and transports about 369,248 passengers per day,” says the RTA.
