Etihad Launches Massive Recruitment Drive For Cabin Crew gulf business

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has announced a massive global recruitment drive for cabin crew and other flight operations staff.

Recruiting will take place in over 12 cities spanning across five countries including Italy, Germany, Japan, Morocco and Tunisia, the airline said in a statement.

It will also hold a hiring event in Abu Dhabi on October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 while conducting open days for food and beverage managers and inflight chefs on October 13 and 27.

Etihad said that applicants interested in attending the recruitment drive should register in advance.

Aubrey Tiedt, Etihad Airways’ VP, Guest Services, said: “To support the rapid growth of the airline, we are hosting our recruitment drive in these countries, all strategically-important markets for the airline.

“In each of these cities we will be inviting up to 200 of the strongest candidates with remarkable hospitality skills to join us at the recruitment days.”

Alongside providing candidates with information about living in Abu Dhabi, the airline will also conduct an in-depth interview process.

“We hope to attract and recruit talented and enthusiastic individuals who are incredibly passionate and dedicated to deliver remarkable hospitality.

“Our cabin crew team hails from more than 115 nationalities and benefits from extensive training and development,” Tiedt said.

Successful candidates will undergo a training programme in Abu Dhabi, which includes all aspects of cabin safety and service delivery, the airline said. The training is conducted at Etihad Airways’ Training Academy.

Cabin crew are provided with company medical insurance, transport, uniforms and fully furnished company accommodation, and are all based in Abu Dhabi.

The carrier is currently in a major expansion drive and in 2014, has launched services to Medina, Jaipur, Zurich, Los Angeles, Yerevan, Perth and Rome with daily flights to Phuket and Dallas to be launched soon. Etihad also plans to add six new routes to its network in 2015.
