None of the 16 passengers and three crew members on board were injured, Etihad’s partner Darwin Airline, which operated the aircraft, said in a statement. The flight, a Saab 2000 turboprop, was travelling from Leipzig to Paris. While landing on the runway at Paris Charles de Gaulle, the nosewheel of the aircraft detached from the main nosewheel strut, reports said. All the passengers disembarked the aircraft “safely” and were transferred to the airport terminal, where those requiring connecting flights continued with their journey, Darwin said in a statement. Swiss carrier Darwin Airline was rebranded as Etihad Regional after the Abu Dhabi carrier bought a 33.3 per cent stake in it last November. Etihad Regional began operations earlier this year. Etihad, on a rampant expansion drive, has been rapidly forming international partnerships and currently has codeshare and equity deals with several carriers including Air Berlin, Virgin Australia, Aer Lingus, Jet Airways, and Air Serbia.
