Home Transport Aviation Qatar Airways arranges charter flights through Oman Air from Jeddah Three charter flights will depart from Jeddah on Tuesday, flying to Doha via Muscat by Aarti Nagraj June 6, 2017 Qatar Airways has organised three charter flights via Oman Air to transport passengers from Saudi Arabia to Doha through Muscat on Tuesday, June 6, even as tensions between the GCC states continue to rise. In a travel alert issued on its website, the airline said that the three flights will depart from Jeddah to Muscat on Tuesday. A connecting Qatar Airways flight will then transport passengers onwards from the Omani capital to Doha. Flight WY3502 will depart Jeddah at 4pm local time; WY3506 will leave at 10pm local time; and WY3504 will depart from the Red Sea city at 11pm. “Passengers are advised to report directly to King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, three hours prior to the flight times above in order to be registered and accepted on to the flight,” the statement said. The move comes even after Saudi Arabia, along with the UAE, Bahrain and other Arab states severed diplomatic ties with Qatar, and cut all air and land links with the country. All Qatari citizens have also been ordered to leave Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain within 14 days. Also read: Qatar asks citizens to leave UAE within 14 days On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia also announced that it has revoked the licence of Qatar Airways and will be shutting down the airline’s offices in the kingdom. Qatar Airways has been ordered to close its Saudi offices within 48 hours, and licences granted to the airline’s employees are set to be be withdrawn. The airline has already suspended all flights to Saudi Arabia. Saudi has also banned all Qatari private and commercial airplanes from crossing its airspace, while Saudi air operators have also suspended operations to Doha. 0 Comments
