UAE telecom operator Etisalat has partnered with Ribbon Communications to launch CloudTalk – a secure and scalable cloud-based, business unified communication and collaboration solution for small and medium businesses (SMB) and enterprise customers in the UAE.

CloudTalk’s integrated communication solutions – launched for meeting customers’ internal and external communication and collaboration requirements – is delivered to users over a carrier-grade cloud private branch exchange (PBX) replacing archaic systems, yielding rapid transformation and optimal performance with minimal time required for deployment, a statement said.

The pay-as-you-grow model offers consumers the flexibility to work in multi-channel communication environments, abating upfront investments and maintaining focus on productivity rather than infrastructure, the statement added.

The solution also offers customers the convenience of switching real-time between different devices effortlessly from any location.

Salvador Anglada, group chief business officer, Etisalat, said: “We are delighted to launch CloudTalk along with our partner Ribbon Communications. The agile, secure, and cloud-based solution will be beneficial for businesses looking to simplify their complex communication infrastructure. The launch of this unique platform enables Etisalat to be a single provider for cloud telephony, offering comprehensive tools at a viable price.”

Patrick Joggerst, chief marketing officer and executive vice president, business development of Ribbon Communications, said: “Our cloud-native solutions help enable the intelligent and secure real-time communications solutions today’s businesses are embracing.”

Etisalat posted Dhs2.3bn of net profits after federal royalty for the third quarter of 2019 versus Dhs2.282bn in Q3 2018.
