RTA said it is developing an integrated and flexible network of roads and public transport systems to accommodate Dubai’s growing population and visitor numbers

The emirate will have two connections to the UAE’s national passenger railway and two stations on the planned high-speed Abu Dhabi-Dubai line

The announcement marks the latest addition to the Dubai Metro Stations Naming Rights Initiative

Major road project will add 3.7km of bridges and 17km of roads and increase capacity on north-south traffic corridors by 18 per cent

The initiative forms part of RTA’s broader efforts to strengthen connectivity between residential, educational and development areas while providing safe and convenient access to schools

The collaboration expands Al Ansari Exchange’s portfolio of third-party products while giving residents and visitors greater access to Dubai’s integrated mobility payment system

RTA is set to open another bridge by the end of August to serve traffic travelling from Sheikh Rashid Road towards 2nd December Street

RTA said the project is designed to ease congestion, support commercial transport and daily commuting

The opening completes the traffic configuration at the intersection following the opening of the bridge in the opposite direction in February

The expansion is part of RTA’s strategy to strengthen first- and last-mile connectivity by offering flexible transport links between residential communities and public transport stations
