Stretching approximately 12 kilometres, the new strategic corridor will strengthen links between some of Dubai’s busiest road networks, connecting Sheikh Zayed Road through Al Khail Road

The projects, led by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), aim to position Dubai as a global pioneer in smart and sustainable mobility

Planned works include the widening and upgrading of major intersections and development areas, enhancements to entry and exit points

Once completed, the bridge is expected to reduce travel time along the corridor from 12 minutes to just 3 minutes, providing a faster commute

The integration will enable real-time information exchange, allowing both organisations to utilise technologies to improve traffic management

The project, which forms part of a comprehensive national plan, will expand the current three-lane road to five lanes in each direction

The campaign aims to promote safe driving habits and reduce road accidents on one of the busiest days on UAE roads

This shift marks a milestone in digital transformation for RTA and supports Dubai’s ambition to be the smartest city in the world

The change will benefit motorists heading towards Business Bay, Ghadeer Al Tair, Al Quoz, Al Safa, and surrounding development areas

The upgraded road network is expected to benefit more than one million residents across key communities including Al Barsha South 1, 2 and 3
