Qatar Airways has announced the resumption of daily flight operations to key destinations in the Middle East, marking a significant step in the airline’s broader network recovery and expansion strategy.
Beginning April 23, 2026, the airline has reinstated daily services between Doha and major UAE hubs, including Dubai International Airport and Sharjah International Airport. In addition, a daily service to Damascus International Airport is scheduled to resume on May 1, 2026.

The airline confirmed the development in an official newsroom report, describing the move as part of a phased restoration of its global network. “These resumptions are part of a phased restoration of Qatar Airways’ global network,” the airline stated, underscoring its ongoing efforts to reconnect regional and international destinations.
Expansion to over 150 destinations
The route resumptions build on an earlier mid-April announcement in which Qatar Airways revealed plans to expand its operations to more than 150 destinations across six continents starting June 16, 2026. The updated schedule, valid through September 15, 2026, introduces new routes and increased flight frequencies to and from Doha, offering travelers greater flexibility during the busy summer season.
According to travel alerts published on the airline’s website, “the updated schedule… connects more passengers to more of the world this summer,” reflecting growing demand for international travel and improved connectivity.
Passengers booked on flights within the updated schedule will be notified directly of any changes. The airline has also advised customers to regularly check its website or mobile application and ensure their contact details are accurate and up to date.
Flexible booking and travel advisory
Qatar Airways emphasised its flexible booking policies for travelers affected by schedule changes. Passengers holding confirmed bookings with travel dates between February 28 and September 15, 2026 are eligible for complimentary date changes, allowing rebooking up to October 31, 2026 subject to availability and fare conditions.
“If your flight is impacted, you remain eligible for additional fee-free changes until October 31, 2026,” the airline noted. Travellers may also opt for a refund of the unused ticket value, though processing may take up to 28 working days.
In its advisory, the airline urged passengers not to proceed to the airport without a valid confirmed ticket. It also reiterated that flight schedules remain subject to change or cancellation due to operational, regulatory, or safety-related factors beyond its control.
