Dubai hotel group Jumeirah will open its first hotel in Bahrain this week after signing a management deal with investment conglomerate Seven Holdings in December.

Jumeirah Royal Saray opens its doors on Wednesday, February 28 in the northern coastal Seef district.

It features 174 rooms, summerhouses, royal residences, poolside cabanas, a restaurant with a gin bar and a coffee lounge overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

There are also indoor and outdoor meetings spaces to accommodate more than 400 people and a dedicated spa wing.

An opening offer starting from Dhs1,260 ($343) anight, plus taxes and service charges, is available from March 15.

“The hotel will become a key reason for international visitors to discover Bahrain, an ideal destination for a weekend escape for visitors from across the GCC, and a gastronomic hotspot in the city,” said hotel general manager Nordine El Yafi.

“We are confident that this landmark, understated luxury hotel will have great appeal to the growing number of tourists visiting Bahrain every year and become a particular favorite of Bahrain residents.”

Jumeirah said guest rooms paid homage to the Bahraini pearl while patterns from traditional and royal houses are featured across the hotel.

The property is one of five Jumeirah plans to open this year under its main brand including other hotels in Abu Dhabi, China, Bali and Oman.
