Real estate developer Dubai Properties has launched a new ‘cluster home’ private gated community in Dubailand.

The Mediterranean inspired Villanova project comprises a number of clusters, each featuring four different unit types within an enclosed court.

Units will include two- and three-bedroom cluster homes and three-, four- and five-bedroom standalone villas. Dubai Properties said apartments would also be launched in the future.

Other features of the development will include landscaped paseos with walking and biking trails, intersecting linear parks and foutains, a pool house, children’s play area, BBQ zone, picnic lawns and a basketball court.

Dubai Properties said there would also be mosques, retail outlets and outdoor seating.

“Villanova is testament that by continuously shaping our product offering through quality and innovation, DP is committed to creating exceptional and integrated lifestyle experiences in response to verifiable market needs that enrich the lives of residents and visitors alike,” said executive director of sales and sales operations Marwan Al Kindi.

The developer did not specify when the development, located on the intersection of Emirates Road and Al Ain Road, was due to be completed.

The Dubai property market has been hit by the wider economic slump in the region this year.

However, developers at the recent Cityscape exhibition suggested the worst may be over, with sentiment expected to improve in the buildup to Dubai’s hosting of World Expo 2020.
