Spread acorss 5.6 million square metres, Adel District in Dammam, is set to be Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province’s largest urban development. The project’s blueprint was released by the developer – Adel Real Estate, who said contracts will be up for auction in the first quarter of 2024.

Designed and developed by the Saudi-based developer, Adel District is a plot-based urban development which will comprise five expansive residential neighborhoods. The developer said, upon completion the district will be home to an estimated 50,000 people.

The initial plan envisions a neighbourhood with a range of facilities, such as residential buildings, office spaces, mosques, shopping malls and retail centers, health centers, educational and recreational facilities, as well as creativity and innovation incubators and green spaces such as Adel Park.

Adel District’s West Boulevard

As a mixed-use planned development, Adel District will house a commercial district called the ‘West Boulevard’. The area has been designed keeping in mind businesses and their needs. It will, hence, provide investors with the means to build business communities.

This space will be the district’s cornerstone, and will support the growth of its markets, shopping centers, restaurants, and cafes, said Adel Real Estate.

Additionally, to ensure the wellbeing and quality of life of those living and conducting business in the area, Adel Real Estate said it plans to develop extensive green spaces.

The Adel Park will be just one such space, which will provide residents with a green area for relaxation, play, walking and sports trails.

Infrastructure in place

The developer announced that key infrastructure and public works are already in place with water, electricity, lighting, roads, telephone, rainwater drainage, and sewage networks set up in accordance with the latest approved sustainability standards.
