UAE: Sheikh Mohammed announces cabinet reshuffle

The country’s Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced a string of ministerial appointments

UAE: Sheikh Mohammed announces cabinet reshuffle

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced a cabinet shuffle in the federal government.

The Dubai ruler announced a series of new appointments on Twitter.

Sheikh Mohammed said the appointments had been done after consultation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Cabinet reshuffle 

Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei has been appointed Minister of Community Development. She takes on the role from Hessa Buhumaid who will now serve as Minister of State.

Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, the UAE’s delegate to UNESCO, has been appointed as Minister of Culture and Youth, replacing Noura Al Kaabi, will now serve as Minister of State.

Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, was named Minister of State.

Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications has been appointed as director general of the Prime Minister’s office, in addition to his incumbent role.

Abdullah Nasser Lootah has been named chairman of the Competitiveness Council.

Sheikh Mohammed wished the new ministers success in their roles. “We are always optimistic about the most beautiful future in the UAE,” he tweeted.
