UAE announces spring holidays for private, public schools

Spring holidays for government and private schools that follow the ministry’s curriculum across the UAE will begin on March 29 and end on April 11



The UAE’s Ministry of Education (MOE) took to Twitter to announce the spring break for schools for the academic year 2019/20.

Spring holidays for public and private schools that follow the ministry’s curriculum across the UAE will begin on March 29 and end on April 11.

Classes will resume on April 12, 2020.

For teachers and the administrative staff, work will resume on April 5.

“March 29 [will mark] the start of the spring vacation for students of public schools and private schools that apply the Ministry’s curriculum for the current academic year 2019/2020, with study to resume on April 12,” read MOE’s tweet in part.

Spring break for private schools across Dubai will also commence on March 29, as per the academic calendar outlined on education regulator, KHDA’s (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) website.

Classes for schools that fall under the KHDA’s ambit will resume on April 12.
