1 – Burj Khalifa

On December 31, all eyes will be on Downtown Dubai for its magnificent pyrotechnic, lights and laser spectacle. For the best view of the building, reserve a table at one of the many eateries in Downtown Dubai, such as Souk Al Bahar or Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, and head to Dubai Mall to witness The Dubai Fountain’s stunning light and water display as it builds up to a magnificent finale as the clock strikes 12. If you’re celebrating with your children, you might want to spend the night at Burj Park, which is on a little island in Burj Lake and has a clear view of the fountain performances.

2 – Al Seef

Looking for a festive location with a touch of the past on New Year’s Eve? Go to Al Seef, the historical district of the city, which is close to Dubai Creek. It offers a wonderfully gorgeous scene with classic dhows and historically significant structures. Enjoy breathtaking views of the fireworks from one of the town’s waterfront eateries, such as Skafos, which delights with Italian, Spanish, and Greek cuisine, or ILA, which offers delectable fresh Arabic meals.

Every year to usher in the New Year, this iconic hotel puts on an impressive spectacle. Reserve a table at one of Atlantis, The Palm’s popular restaurants or clubs to join the celebrations, or spend the evening at the exclusive NYE gala dinner, including a riveting live show by Kylie Minogue. You can dine at any of the waterfront restaurants at The Pointe, which also has the biggest fountains in the world, or you can view the fireworks shows from a number of points along the neighbouring Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk.

4 – Book A Yacht!

Try something new on New Year’s Eve and embark on an exciting yachting adventure with the city’s top tour companies, including Xclusive, Seven Yachts, and Lotus Mega Yacht. You can select one of their special evening packages, which includes delicious snacks and uninterrupted activities, or you can choose a customised tour that includes the greatest sites as well as a midnight firework display. Consider using the free Dubai Ferry, waterbus, or abra maritime transportation as an affordable substitute. With stops at the Dubai Water Canal, Atlantis, The Palm, and Al Seef, there are many options and itineraries to think about.

5 – The Beach

Additionally, you can take a marine taxi from Marina Mall Station to witness the spectacle from across the sea.

6 – Ain Dubai

The ideal place to usher in the new year in luxury is Ain Dubai at Bluewaters Island, which offers stunning views of Dubai’s gorgeous skyline. You can view the fireworks from the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai to Atlantis, The Palm on Palm Jumeirah from the world’s biggest and tallest panoramic wheel. Earlier in the evening, take in the district’s spectacular sights and sounds, which are complemented by the many dining options along the shore and the pleasure for the whole family at Madame Tussauds.

7 – Global Village

Global Village will host seven fireworks’ shows. Six minute-long displays will start at 8pm on the main stage to coincide with the stroke of midnight in different countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Turkey. The main display at midnight will last five minutes. Global Village, is open from 4pm to 2am on December 31.

8 – La Mer

Families seeking to celebrate New Year’s Eve outdoors while participating in recreational activities should consider La Mer. Families can enjoy swimming all day at Laguna, one of the city’s best water parks, or leaping over Hawa Hawa, La Mer’s outdoor trampoline park. It’s advisable to book early for a whole day of leisure as there are beachfront homes, day beds, and a wide variety of watersport.

9 – Aura Skypool

You should choose to watch the Dubai fireworks from the first and largest 360º infinity pool in the world on New Year’s Eve. The celebration is described as an “oasis in the sky” with lots of groovy tunes, delectable cuisine, as well as spectacular views of all the fireworks displays taking place all through Dubai.

10 – Dubai Opera 

A ‘Disco till Dawn’ event will take place at Dubai Opera, one of the city’s most recognisable concert venues, and feature performances by the highly regarded dancing team Jasmine & Aaron from Britain’s Got Talent. Visitors will be led outdoors to the seafront at exactly midnight to see the renowned Burj Khalifa fireworks.

Concerts taking place on New Year’s Eve

  • On December 31, multi-award-winning musician Enrique Iglesias will give a live performance at the chic beachside venue Naamos. The renowned Cuban Latin music duo Gente De Zona will perform with the famed singer.
  • On December 31, a musical spectacular involving the top stars in Sudanese music will take place. Performers include pop music icon Nada Al-Qalaa, hitmaker Taha Suliman, and Maghrebi pop band MarSimba.
  • On New Year’s Eve, the Burj Al Arab will offer Michelin-starred meals and performances by award-winning musician Valery Meladze of ballads such as Samba Belogo Motylka, Prityagenia Bolshe Net, and Heaven. Guests can stroll outside onto the terrace around midnight for a wide-angle view of the glittering fireworks.
  • Ivanushki International, a famed Russian boy band, will perform live renditions of some of their best songs, including Zolotye Oblaka and Beznadega Tochka Ru. The Theatre Dubai will host the Big Art Festival’s VIP banquet and family-friendly activities on New Year’s Eve.
  • Additionally, Danish pop star Tomas Nevergreen, the Dutch band Ten Sharp, the Russian stand-up comedian Artur Pirozhkov, the illusionist Graf Voronin, and the TV host Pavel Volya will all perform that night. Furthermore, guests may get down to DJ Zamir’s party jams, and kids can have fun with interactive games and activities.
