Home GCC UAE The MEBAA Show rescheduled once again, to be held in December 2022 It was previously scheduled to take place in February 2021 by Varun Godinho December 9, 2020 The Middle East & North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) has decided to push its aviation show to December 2022. It will be held at the DWC, Airshow Site in Dubai. The biennial MEBAA show was originally intended to take place from December 8-10, 2020. However, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the show’s organisers decided to push the show to February 22-24, 2021. Read: Dubai’s private aviation show MEBAA postponed to February 2021 The organisers said on Wednesday that the decision to scrap the event in February and hold the next one only in 2022, due to “concerns related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and international travel restrictions imposed across numerous countries around the world.” “As a result of the ongoing challenges with global border restrictions and lockdowns, we have decided to realign the MEBAA Show with its original dates and postpone it again to 2022,” said Ali Ahmed Alnaqbi, founder and executive chairman of MEBAA. “All recent indications suggest that the business aviation sector will make a strong recovery in the coming years and the MEBAA Show will play an important role in restoring confidence, driving collaboration and creating new opportunities for the sector.” Attendees to the MEBAA show include business aircraft manufacturers, avionics firms, completion centers, charter companies and aircraft resellers. Estimates from before the pandemic suggested that there are approximately 800 private jets registered in the MENA region.
