This is according to a tweet from the RTA’s official X account that was posted late Thursday night. Previously, passengers could bring e-scooters onto the Dubai Metro, but there were some rules that included folding e-scooters once onboard the trains and using the wide entry gates when traversing through a station. On its official Twitter feed, the RTA made the following announcement: To ensure your safety and that of others, the use of E-scooters inside #DubaiMetro and #DubaiTram will be prohibited, starting Friday, March 1, 2024. #YourSafetyOurPriority — RTA (@rta_dubai) February 29, 2024 However, the Dubai Metro is still allowing passengers to carry foldable bicycles onto trains and trams, according to an updated tweet from the RTA.
