Radisson Hotel Group has signed a new Radisson Collection property for Egypt.

The Radisson Collection Resort, Marsa Alam Port Phoenice in Egypt brings the group’s footprint in the country to eight hotels in operation and under development.

Scheduled to open in early 2025, the resort will be situated in Port Phoenice on the Red Sea, a waterfront integrated community which includes luxury residences, golf estates and retail options.

The property will be located only a 35-minute drive from Marsa Alam International airport.

The new-build resort will comprise 294 rooms, including 20 suites, and built with mix of Mediterranean and Italian architectural styles.

It will feature a lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant, a high-end specialty restaurant, as well as a beach restaurant and a beach bar.

The resort will also offer a fitness center, diving center, theatre, kids’ club, several pools, and direct access to the beach.

Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group, said, “The introduction of the Radisson Collection Resort, Marsa Alam Port Phoenice is reflective of the brand transformation our group has taken over the last few years. With a portfolio of iconic and exceptional properties, we are confident that this new resort will become one of our best hotels across the region.”

Radisson Hotel Group currently operates four hotels in Egypt situated in major cities such as Cairo, Alexandria, the Red Sea Riviera, and El Quseir. Earlier this year, it announced the launch of the Radisson Individuals brand in Egypt with the opening of Marina Resort Port Ghalib, a member of Radisson Individuals.

Ramsay Rankoussi, vice president development for Africa and Türkiye at Radisson Hotel Group, added, “The relevance of our presence in key feeder markets such as Central and Eastern Europe reinforces the opportunities for expansion across Egypt. The country remains a key focus country in our development strategy and with this new addition, we expect to further deploy our presence in both cities and resort locations across the nation and across all our core Radisson Hotel Group brands.”

Other major hospitality group have also recently announced upcoming projects in Egypt. Notably, IHG Hotels and Resorts said that it is scheduled to open its first voco property in the country – the voco North Coast – in December 2026.

Hyatt and ALDAU Development also entered into a franchise agreement to debut the full-service lifestyle brand, Hyatt Centric, in Egypt. The 283-Hyatt Centric Cairo West will be the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Cairo’s Pyramids Heights Business Park.
