Microsoft Windows 11 will begin rolling out on October 5, 2021 to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11 and will start to become available for purchase.

Among many of the new key features, Start now utilises the power of the cloud and Microsoft 365 to show recent files, no matter what device they were previously viewed on, providing a seamless experience that eases workflows. Chat from Microsoft Teams is integrated into the taskbar, providing faster ways to connect. A revamped Microsoft Store will also allow more developers and independent software vendors to bring their apps to market, improving native and web app development with new tools that make it easier to transform the look and feel of app designs and experiences.

“The latest version of Windows 11 brings a more personalised approach to our digitally driven lives,” said Mohammed Arif, business group director – modern workplace and security at Microsoft UAE. “What’s more, this is the most inclusively designed version of Windows yet, with accessibility improvements built for and by people with disabilities. It truly caters to today’s standard of the hybrid workplace, supporting the changes in the way we work from anywhere.”

Last year, Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7, which meant that all users of the platform stopped receiving any updates from it since then. However, a large number of people have continued to use Windows 7 on their computers. The FBI advised everyone to upgrade to the latest version supported by Microsoft.
