Light and water show ‘Imagine’ returns to Dubai Festival City

The show will be relaunched on September 24 to celebrate the start of Dubai Home Festival retail event

The light, fire and water show Imagine will return to Dubai Festival City this Thursday, September 24.

After a six-month refurbishment hiatus, Imagine will mark its return with a firework display at 9pm, showcasing a Baby Shark medley, voted by shoppers as the number one choice of song to be added to the mix.

The return coincides with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment’s three-week long Dubai Home Festival, featuring brands from local and international interior design and homeware industry as well as workshops and promotions held across the city from September 24 until October 10.

The Imagine show combines lasers, light, fire and water elements to tell narrate emotive stories. It uses surround sound to deliver a 360-degree story to emotionally connect with audiences.

The new shows will feature bespoke content such as a 3D effect mapping show with choreographed laser, light and new musical fountain shows featuring hits such as C’est La Vie, Jai Ho and Imagine. Lasting around 3-4 minutes each, the shows will change often to celebrate key moments in the calendar such as National Day, Festive and New Year’s Eve.

The shows will start from 7pm and play every half an hour until 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends.

Steven Cleaver, director, Shopping Centers Dubai, Al Futtaim Malls, said: “Our focus at Dubai Festival City Mall has not changed – we aim to deliver daily exceptional experiences for our customers. IMAGINE has always been a true example of how we bring this to life, and we are thrilled to be able to return with something new for our shoppers. The show is best enjoyed from our range of waterfront restaurants overlooking Festival Bay for the ultimate dining and entertainment experience.”

Imagine is being brought back in line with strict adherence to all government regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors and employees.
