Home Industry Hospitality JW Marriott property announced for Ras Al Khaimah Marriott International has teamed up with WOW Resorts to launch a resort and residential development on Al Marjan Island by Gulf Business November 16, 2023 (Image: Supplied by Marjan) Marriott International and WOW Resorts have teamed up to launch a luxury resort and residential development on Al Marjan Island in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah within the UAE. JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort and JW Marriott Residences Al Marjan Island are scheduled to open in late 2026. It marks the debut of US-based WOW Resorts in Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE. Located on Marjan’s flagship island development, the residential development and luxury resort will offer uninterrupted sea views and will include a portfolio of 524 residences, featuring one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom residences and luxurious penthouses, alongside 300 luxury guest rooms. The development will also feature seven dining venues, a spa, pools, and a fitness centre. Bhupender ‘Bruce’ Patel, co-founder and co-CEO of WOW Resorts, said, “Our collaboration with Marriott International and our venture on Al Marjan Island represents a new chapter in our journey. This signing also marks our third deal within Al Marjan Island, and we are excited to further grow our portfolio within the iconic destination.” Marriott builds portfolio in Ras Al Khaimah In August of this year, Marriott International collaborated with Dalands Holding to announce the planned opening of W Hotel on Al Marjan Island. Slated to welcome its first guests in early 2027, W Al Marjan Island will also be W Hotel’s first property in Ras Al Khaimah and will have an inventory of 300 keys. Meanwhile, the first Marriott International property for Al Marjan Island was signed in May this year with UAE-based real estate developer, Three Musketeers Hospitality. That agreement will result in the opening of Le Méridien Al Marjan Island Resort and Spa in 2026 which will feature 350 keys.
