The Hero Dubai Desert Classic, the region’s longest running and most anticipated annual golf event, is set to return from January 18-21, 2024. The popular tournament will be held at the Emirates Golf Club.

Since its inception in 1989, the tournament has been synonymous with world-class golf, great food and exceptional entertainment.

Last year, the tournament became part of the Rolex Series, the DP World Tour’s premium category, elevating the event’s international profile.

Like every year, Hero Dubai Desert Classic will welcome the world’s top athletes to face off on the stunning Majlis course for one of the tour’s most desired accolades.

What to expect at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic 2024?

This edition promises to be more thrilling with world number one and three-time champion Rory McIlroy joining other elite golf players to compete for the impressive Rolex Series $9m prize fund.

In other news, in July, the Hero Dubai Desert Classic became the first golf event in the Middle East and first within the DP World Tour Rolex Series to achieve GEO Certified Tournament status, demonstrating the event’s leadership among sustainable golf events.

The distinction is awarded and assured by the international non-profit GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf, and is based on a range of tangible measured impacts across a broad sustainability agenda.

Simon Corkill, executive tournament director for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic said, “It speaks to our strong dedication to tackling priority environmental and social issues, as we strive to deliver meaningful net positive impacts through the event.”
