Gulfood, a showcase of the regional food and beverage trade business, begins today, February 20.

The 28th edition of the event, will run for five days, until February 24, marking the participation of more than 5,000 exhibitors, representing 120 countries.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, toured the event on its opening day.

The Gulfood event facilitates local entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized companies to strengthen their relations and connect with international companies, buyers and vendors, government and trade delegations; as well as share experiences and knowledge on the growing F&B sector in Dubai.

Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is participating in this year’s edition, represented by the Dubai Economic Development Corporation. and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), official news agency WAM reported.
