So far, 16 aircraft have been sent as part of the UAE’s Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation launched on November 5. The UAE sent six planes to Al-Arish International Airport in Egypt, carrying supplies and equipment to support the construction of the field hospital, on November 7, the state news agency WAM reported. Read: UAE President issues order to initiate Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation for Gaza The UAE dispatched five aircraft on November 6 with equipment and essential supplies required to operate the Emirati field hospital that is being set up based on the order issued by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The 150-bed field hospital is being set up in phases. The hospital includes departments for general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics and gynaecology, and intensive care units that will treat children and adults, WAM reported. The facility will also have clinics for internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry and family medicine. Other services offered will include CT imaging, lab, pharmacy and medical support functions. UAE extends support to Palestinians impacted in Gaza In October, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, directed the provision of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, through Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The relief campaign is being conducted in cooperation with the World Food Program, and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Community Development.
