Flydubai suspends flights to India, Saudi, Bahrain among other countries

The airline has announced closure of all flights to and from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain till March 31



UAE carrier flydubai has announced the suspension of all flights to and from India between March 17-31, based on directives from relevant authorities in India.

It has also announced the closure of flights to and from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain till March 31, based on instructions from the respective local authorities.

Meanwhile, the list of flight cancellations announced by the carrier is as follows:

Iran: Flights to the Iranian cities of Esfahan, Lar, Mashhad, Shiraz and Tehran have been temporarily suspended.

Kuwait: Flights to and from the country have been cancelled between March 14-19.

Italy: Flights to and from Catania have been cancelled from March 15 to May 20, and to and from Naples from March 14 to May 21.

Slovakia: Flights from and to Bratislava have been cancelled between March 13-27.

Poland: Flights from and to Krakow have been cancelled between March 15-28.

South Sudan: Flights from and to Juba have been temporarily suspended from March 14.

Pakistan: Following a directive from local authorities, flydubai flights will operate as per the following schedule:

  • Flights to and from Sialkot will be rerouted to Islamabad from March 14 to 17
  • Flights to and from Faisalabad and Multan will be rerouted to Islamabad from March 15 to 17
  • Flights to and from Quetta on March 16 and 17 have been cancelled and passengers will be rebooked on the Karachi flights
  • Flights to and from Karachi will continue to operate to schedule

Djibouti: Flights from and to Djibouti have been suspended from March 18.

Jordan: Flights from and to Amman have been suspended from March 17.

Iraq: Flights from and to the country have been suspended from March 17.

Lebanon: Flights from and to Beirut have been suspended from March 17.

Turkey: Flights from and to Istanbul have been suspended from March 17.

Azerbaijan: Flights from and to Baku have been suspended from March 18.

Ukraine: Flights from and to Ukraine have been suspended from March 17.

Egypt: Flights to and from Alexandria will be cancelled between March 19-31.

Sudan: Flights from and to Sudan have been suspended from March 17.

Earlier this week, the UAE suspended all inbound and outbound flights to Lebanon, Turkey, Syria and Iraq, with effect from March 17 until further notice. Preceding the ban, the UAE also banned all inbound and outbound travel to Italy, with the exception of flights to and from Rome, effective Friday, March 13 until further notice.
