Abu Dhabi-based developer Eagle hills has awarded the main construction and infrastructure works for its The Address Fujairah Resort + Spa to Joannou & Paraskevaides.

The contract comes after Eagle Hills secured an $81.6m loan to finance the project in August.

The resort will comprise 196 hotel rooms and 172 branded residences across four residential buildings. There will also be five beach villas, five garden villas, a 500m promenade, beach access and a plaza.

Grading and marine works at the site have already been completed.

“With the ground and marine works complete and a huge level of demand coming from investors, this project is well on track for its 2019 completion and this announcement demonstrates our commitment to the world-class levels of construction we will deliver for The Address Fujairah Resort + Spa,” said Eagle Hills CEO Low Ping.

Eagle Hills is also working with Fujairah’s government on the mixed-use Fujairah Beach project, featuring a five-star hotel with 162 rooms and a residential community with 84 villas.
