A new water park at Dubai beachfront development La Mer is set to open in less than two weeks.

What’s On reports that Laguna Waterpark, under development by Dubai’s Meraas, will open its doors on Saturday, May 12.

The park will features five main rides, a pool lounge, children’s zone and lazy river along with direct beach access and cabanas.

A day pass will cost Dhs99 ($27) for residents when bought online in advance and Dhs125 ($34) at the door. Tourists will have to pay Dhs159 ($43).

Among the attractions are a surf machine and a slide tower with five slides – The Manta, Constrictor, The Loop, Freefall and Mad Racer.

The first phase of the wider La Mer development opened in October last year between Pearl Jumeira and Jumeira Bay. The overall project spans 13.4 million square feet of existing and reclaimed land.
