Dubai’s Hala service partners with Sweetheart Kitchen to offer free meals

To offer support to some of the frontliners combating the Covid-19 pandemic, Dubai Taxi’s booking service Hala and startup Sweetheart Kitchen have partnered to offer free meals to Hala captains.

In excess of 500 three-course meals will be facilitated by Dubai-based Sweetheart Kitchen through its collaboration with Hala.

This initiative follows a decline in demand for public transport in light of restrictions to reduce unnecessary movement around the city.

Ann-Sophie Petersmann, marketing director at Hala, said: “Now more than ever, our core values at Hala are guiding our everyday decisions, as we make every effort to help our captains, who have been affected by restrictions. Earlier this month, Hala offered a 20 per cent discount on rides booked through the Careem app to and from select hospitals in the emirate.
