Dubai-listed education and healthcare investment firm Amanat Holdings has acquired a 35 per cent stake in Abu Dhabi University Holding Company (ADUHC).

The company has 7,500 students enrolled at higher education institutions across the UAE and has also offered vocational and corporate training to 170,000 people, according to the announcement.

Companies across its portfolio of private education and training, real estate, facilities management, human resources and project and event management units include Khawarizmi International College, Knowledge Group, Khawarizmi Training Solutions, Summit Career Management Services, AIM Events and Fortune Properties.

Amanat said ADUHC was on track with a planned expansion after recently moving into Dubai and Al Dhafra from its initial Abu Dhabi and Al Ain footprint.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

“We are delighted to collaborate with ADUHC as our partners in higher education in the UAE,” said Amanat chairman Hamad Abdullah Al Shamsi.

“This move strategically complements our K-12 platform, and confirms Amanat’s emphasis on the growing GCC education sector by creating a unique and complementary portfolio of quality institutions.”
