Travellers from Abu Dhabi will now be able to fly directly to Chennai International Airport. The flight will depart the UAE’s capital at 2.00pm and arrive at Chennai at 7.45pm. It will depart Chennai at 8.25pm, landing at 11.pm in Abu Dhabi on Mondays and Wednesdays (all local times) Adel Al Ali, group Chief Executive Officer, Air Arabia, said: “We are proud to add Chennai to our growing network from the capital, Abu Dhabi. The new service between Abu Dhabi and Chennai gives travellers the opportunity to explore the city’s rich history. The addition of this new route falls in line with our commitment to provide our customers with affordable and value driven air travel from our different hubs.” The new service represents the sixth city that Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will fly to after Calicut, Cochin, Trivandrum, Delhi and Jaipur. It is also considered the 19th route since the launch of the carrier’s service from Abu Dhabi International Airport in July 2020. Bookings are now open for flights to Chennai. The UAE’s first low-cost carriers said that its flights connecting Abu Dhabi and Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, will commence from May 5. Abu Dhabi travellers will now be able to fly direct to Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, Istanbul. The carrier introduced a new service to Trabzon in Turkey with direct flights starting July 2021.
