Professional services firm Accenture will establish a new digital hub in the Expo 2020 legacy district.

The announcement follows the unveiling of District 2020 this week and Accenture’s selection as the expo’s digital services partner and systems integrator.

Accenture’s hub will join that of Germany’s Siemens AG, which announced plans for an airports, cargo and port logistics operation at the site after 2021.

The district will feature 65,000 square metres of residential space, 10km of bike paths, 44,900 square metres of park land and 135,000sqm of office space.

“By confirming it will open a digital hub at District 2020, the company is also demonstrating its faith in Dubai as a gateway to global markets, especially in Africa and Asia, and the vision of the UAE’s leaders for the future,” said Marjan Faraidooni, senior vice president of legacy development and impact at Expo 2020 Dubai
