Home Industry Technology Abu Dhabi: The 2022 edition of UMEX and SimTEX to return this month The hybrid event will take place at Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC Business Centre by Gulf Business February 9, 2022 The fifth edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and the Simulation Training (SimTEX) conference is set to take place on February 20. It will be followed by the main exhibitions from February 21-23. The hybrid event will take place at Abu Dhabi’s ADNOC Business Centre. The conference, organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in partnership with the Tawazun Economic Council and in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, will focus on the theme of the “Unmanned, Unbound: Realising the promise of the unmanned revolution”. The conference will highlight the latest scientific and technological developments, the advanced contributions of unmanned systems technologies and their potential and also explore four main topics. These include – Understanding the changing unmanned landscape; Unmanned systems and the 4IR: How technology is shaping future capabilities; Facilitating trust and understanding: Human-machine teaming and decision-making in the unmanned age; and Optimising innovation: Overcoming adoption and integration challenges. Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Teleworking Applications, and Prof. Mérouane Debbah, chief researcher, AI and Telecommunication Systems at the Technology Innovation Institute will be a part of the conference.
