Two Emiratis killed, 13 injured in three-vehicle crash in Oman

The accident occurred at around 8pm on Tuesday in Oman’s Adam province

Two people were killed and 13 others were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Oman on Tuesday.

Both those who died were Emiratis, according to the Royal Police in Oman.

The incident happened at 8pm on a highway in Oman’s Adam province, when two vehicles with UAE and Saudi number plates collided with each other.

According to officials, both the vehicles burst into flames upon impact.

One of the vehicles then swerved and crashed into another car with an Omani number plate.

“The initial information indicates that the accident caused the death of two individuals and injured 13 others from Saudi and Emirati nationalities,” a police statement said.

Omani officials rushed to the scene and helped put out the blaze and rescue the victims from burning vehicles.

All those injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to reports, an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
