Saudi workers to get day off for National Day

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Civil Service has announced that government workers will receive Sunday off to celebrate the kingdom’s National Day.

The ministry said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency that Sunday, September 23, would be an official holiday.

Workers will be compensated with a day of holiday if they are unable to take Sunday off.

The UAE is also hosting a series of events to celebrate Saudi national day including a grand parade at Dubai’s The Beach at 6:00pm on Saturday.

Complimentary screenings of films by Saudi directors will be held from September 20-23 at the areas Roxy Cinemas branch and discounts will be available in stores.
