The UAE’s Minister of Foreign Trade is a powerful woman; she became the first woman to hold a cabinet position in the country when she was appointed as the Minister of Economy in 2004. She was appointed to her current position in 2008 – spearheading six per cent annual growth in Dubai trade in 2012. She is ranked #92 in Forbes 2012 world’s most powerful women list.
